I saw this photo from Shawn McKenzie and loved it. I wrote some encouraging words below it for women like this. I pray it blesses you. The revelation blessed me.
If you are this, understand that every man is not looking for this. Make sure you’re ok with that fact and remember to not take a step back waiting for someone who doesn’t understand the value of this, to catch up. They just may not be in to you, or ready for you, or just not checking for you. That’s ok. If there is only one for you that means don’t gaze into the eyes of every man in the multitude wondering if he is the one. It may sound cliche but fix your eyes on GOD. If you deal in Faith you know HE will not make you ashamed, HE knows what you need, want and how to give it to you. HE is your Father. Your greatest champion who knows and calls you by name. Speak your name and who you are and what GOD has Himself said about you. It will help you to remember you’re worthy. As for me, my name is Bridgette. Though I had strayed I am called and chosen. I am waiting, I am patient, I am grateful and I Am LOVE.
This is a devotional I wrote in 2010. GODS word is timeless. I hope it meets your spirit today.
Be who you are….GOD designed each of us differently. Each of us possess gifts that are different from others. You were planned and designed by the master. There is a blueprint in GODs office on his desk with your name on it. He is having his people (His Son and the Holy Spirit) work in and through you to make sure everything lines up so that when the building not made by mans hands is done… it will be complete…lacking nothing. On this earth there are going to be people put off by your intellect, your spirit of GOD, your resolve to stand firm and not waiver in the way you carry yourself, etc. Never change who you are to be a part of anything or accommodate anyone. Most times when you do this…it ends badly. Don’t waste your own precious time or anyone else’s not being true in who you are and what you know.
Stand firm knowing that you were designed by greatness. That which you possess is not for everybody to be in the presence of …to partake in. Be selective of your inner circle…and MOST IMPORTANTLY…..BE TRANSFORMED…DO NOT CONFORM. Be THANKFUL to GOD, HUMBLE and GRACIOUS. Never fall back in letting the world see the excellence in who HE made YOU to be.
Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants-what is good, pleasing, and perfect.
Psalm 139:14 I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this.
Sometimes we can be Godly and Virtuous; but yet under confident. We can allow others opinions of us to dictate the way we act, feel, think or even look. When popular opinion has that much of a rule over us how can we realistically submit to GOD? Sounds like we’ve chosen to submit to man. GOD can not get the glory if man is in control of your mind.
GOD I see the miraculous way you answer prayers! Especially the prayers and declarations over the lives of others.
Whomever does not believe in you, whomever does not believe your word, whomever does not truly put All their Hope in you are not only doing you a disservice…but their loved ones and…themselves.
GOD YOU are AWESOME! And I Thank YOU!
I can guarantee this truth: This is what will be done for someone who doesn’t doubt but believes what he says will happen: He can say to this mountain, ‘Be uprooted and thrown into the sea,’ and it will be done for him. That’s why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:23, 24 GWT)
The ones who scoff at your faith filled attempt at making your dreams come true, are the ones who wish they had the guts to give a crack at it too. Keep pressing, keep being faithful, keep GOD first, keep your integrity, keep your mind, keep your thirst. Its ok to be thirsty…and hungry…about the right things.
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT)
