I saw this photo from Shawn McKenzie and loved it. I wrote some encouraging words below it for women like this. I pray it blesses you. The revelation blessed me.
If you are this, understand that every man is not looking for this. Make sure you’re ok with that fact and remember to not take a step back waiting for someone who doesn’t understand the value of this, to catch up. They just may not be in to you, or ready for you, or just not checking for you. That’s ok. If there is only one for you that means don’t gaze into the eyes of every man in the multitude wondering if he is the one. It may sound cliche but fix your eyes on GOD. If you deal in Faith you know HE will not make you ashamed, HE knows what you need, want and how to give it to you. HE is your Father. Your greatest champion who knows and calls you by name. Speak your name and who you are and what GOD has Himself said about you. It will help you to remember you’re worthy. As for me, my name is Bridgette. Though I had strayed I am called and chosen. I am waiting, I am patient, I am grateful and I Am LOVE.

My 2011 prayer was in the midst of a time of impatience and anxiousness about my promise. This prayer preceded pain. The pain taught me a lesson. Many times the lesson is the blessing. Pain can be the best teacher and its a true fact for some that, “when you know better…you do better. I’m thankful to GOD for caring enough to answer my prayers, take away my anxiety, lessen my impatience (I’m not fully there yet:)), and teach how to walk, smile and wait all at the same time. Never take pages from anyone else’s book to write your life’s story. In reading another’s book, there may be similar challenges and experiences to compare. If given a full analysis of one’s story compared to your own, you will note that never were those like situations approached or encountered with the same like thoughts, purpose or even intent. We may all come to the same place at a point in time, but for sure we will get there by a very different path.
Your time on this earth is fleeting and as such it’s a terrible thing to waste. Spend your time chasing your own personal purpose and destiny. What another may have, is doing or desires may look and sound wonderful, for them. But what is the purpose and what are the plans that GOD may have for you? This is what you should pursue.
What are the pages of your life’s book saying? How will your life read? Make your book a best seller, even if just for yourself.

Life can be challenging.
Sometimes in life GOD will take away everything dear to us. Most times we don’t understand. All the time we want it all back. We want our old comfortable existence back. But what GOD wants, is to prepare us for the “New”.
In order to do that a refining process must take place. This process involves removing people, places, things, habits and thoughts that keep us from a deeper relationship with GOD. The removal of every interest or inclination that has kept us in a place we unknowingly, or even knowingly had outgrown.
Lets stop being resistant to our change. We hinder ourselves by constantly turning around, looking back and reaching back for what GOD purposefully put behind us to prepare us for what lies ahead of us.
I’m often reminded of a powerful sermon given by my pastor Jeffrey Reaves a few years ago on the first Sunday of that year. In the message he was persistently thought invoking with this special announcement: “GOD wants you…to make a NEW start!” This message spoke volumes then, and it still does. So on that note I would like to make an announcement:
“GOD wants you….to make a New Start!”
And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” (Revelation 21:5 NLT)
I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord. They are plans for peace and not disaster, plans to give you a future filled with hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 GWT)
