Not For Every One, Just The One

Standard

I saw this photo from Shawn McKenzie and loved it. I wrote some encouraging words below it for women like this. I  pray it blesses you. The revelation blessed me.

If you are this, understand that every man is not looking for this. Make sure you’re ok with that fact and remember to not take a step back waiting for someone who doesn’t understand the value of this, to catch up. They just may not be in to you, or ready for you, or just not checking for you. That’s ok. If there is only one for you that means don’t gaze into the eyes of every man in the multitude wondering if he is the one. It may sound cliche but fix your eyes on GOD. If you deal in Faith you know HE will not make you ashamed, HE knows what you need, want and how to give it to you. HE is your Father. Your greatest champion who knows and calls you by name. Speak your name and who you are and what GOD has Himself said about you. It will help you to remember you’re worthy. As for me, my name is Bridgette. Though I had strayed I am called and chosen. I am waiting, I am patient, I am grateful and I Am LOVE.

Trust UnWorthy?

Standard

Sometimes we stay in our comfort zone because it’s easy or its status quo. In those times we may never recognize that it makes GOD uncomfortable with us. It deems us untrustworthy in His eyes. How can we want HIS best for our lives if we’re not willing to go the extra mile.
For instance, GOD gives you a revelation to share but you don’t because you’re afraid of how your peers may view you. How then do you imagine GOD feels about you? Someone specific may have needed to hear or read those words and you couldn’t deliver for fear of making man unhappy, oblivious the goal was for GOD to get the glory…for GOD to be happy with you.

GOD has to be able to Trust you for HIM to promote you.

Relevant Voices

Standard

Revelation brings rejuvenation…of your spirit. Perfection was never promised. Never ever stop becoming who you are predestined to be. Never stop to hear the critics because even when they are not talking about you negativity spoken to you can seek to drown you. Block out all other voices besides the voice of GOD. HIS Voice is the One, True, Relevant Voice for you. #Revelation

Humbled by THE BEST

Standard

Imagine who you would be if life’s situations hadn’t succeeded in bringing you to your knees and bowing to the King. You would still be negatively affecting and infecting people, places and things with the stain of your unwillingness to notice the things you needed to change.
So right now! I mean it…right now Thank GOD for making your high places low…and causing you to grow in the things of HIM.
In HIM you will Win. Let HIM continue the work HES begun in you.

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ NLT)

Be YOU, Inherently

Standard

This is a devotional I wrote in 2010. GODS word is timeless. I hope it meets your spirit today.

Be who you are….GOD designed each of us differently. Each of us possess gifts that are different from others. You were planned and designed by the master. There is a blueprint in GODs office on his desk with your name on it. He is having his people (His Son and the Holy Spirit) work in and through you to make sure everything lines up so that when the building not made by mans hands is done… it will be complete…lacking nothing. On this earth there are going to be people put off by your intellect, your spirit of GOD, your resolve to stand firm and not waiver in the way you carry yourself, etc. Never change who you are to be a part of anything or accommodate anyone. Most times when you do this…it ends badly. Don’t waste your own precious time or anyone else’s not being true in who you are and what you know.
Stand firm knowing that you were designed by greatness. That which you possess is not for everybody to be in the presence of …to partake in. Be selective of your inner circle…and MOST IMPORTANTLY…..BE TRANSFORMED…DO NOT CONFORM. Be THANKFUL to GOD, HUMBLE and GRACIOUS. Never fall back in letting the world see the excellence in who HE made YOU to be.

Romans 12:2
Don’t become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants-what is good, pleasing, and perfect.

Psalm 139:14 I will give thanks to you because I have been so amazingly and miraculously made. Your works are miraculous, and my soul is fully aware of this.

How you Measure yourself

Standard

People find a sense of superiority in comparing themselves to others. Another person is not the standard by which you should measure yourself. GOD is the standard. GOD-like character is the standard. What you have, where you go, what you do…means nothing. How you live, how you give, how you treat others, your relationship with GOD….that’s the true measure of a man/woman.

Anything else is ego….self-aggrandizement….and a not so accurate assessment.

Supernatural strength

Standard

My late afternoon to early morning study hours give additional credence (as if it were necessary) to the words in 2Corinthians 12:9.

It seems that in my most tired state GODS Spirit of Revelation, clarity and insight are more prevalent. Or is it that when I am rested and full of energy I believe I’m superwoman? (The new fashionable superwoman:). In those moments could I possibly be filtering the still small voice because my natural energy is “turnt up”?

Well as quiet as its kept, but really not quiet because I’m choosing to share, I prefer GODS Prevailing Power to take over.

LORD give me a spiritual makeover and let your spirit reign….on the regular. In JESUS Name.

Oh, and If you’d like to know those Words, here they go:

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT)
