Back, Is Not A Good Look

Many times we are seeking to go back to a place. Back to when we were skinnier😛, back to when we were more passionate about our dreams, back to the day we made a decision – turned mistake, back to when we were more innocent, back to when we more obedient, etc..etc.

Well GOD wants you to know that where you were is no longer a place. Who you were is a vapor. What you did is in a sea called forgotten, and all of what was is irrelevant.

The places, things and ways of old no longer fit the new you. Even if it were an old dream, the way you would approach it would be new. With each new day, each valley, and each mountaintop experience; you were reshaped, reformed, remolded and refashioned. Nothing about you is as it once was. Even your same sin has a different conscientious consequence.

There is a new place to strive for. Ask the helper….the comforter, to show you the awe and wonder of the place where you presently are. Ask to be shown how to be Great in your current state. Seek HIS guidance in becoming more excellent today in preparation for tomorrow.

I say all that to say: Don’t look back thinking your yesterdays were your Glory Days. Your tomorrow doesn’t need to borrow anything from the past. It only needs to own and consistently apply the lessons from the tests you’ve passed.

You get the point. Be pleased with where HE is taking you.

Lastly, be reminded that the WORD tells us:

Don’t long for the good ole days…

Look forward with a steadfast hope….

Behold that all things become new….

Don’t be like Lot’s wife….

Yes, Jeremiah in 29:11 was written to the Jewish exiled in Babylon, but know that GOD also Has Plans for you…..

You are new wine and can’t do anything with that old wine skin, so stop trying to fit in (see how I did that ?😉)…..

Fix our eyes on JESUS – the Author…the Finisher…

Behold I do a new thing, do you not perceive it?….

Brothers and sisters, I have not yet achieved it but I focus on this one thing; forgetting the past and looking forward ….

FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE….
